For the past 20 years, John Zedd has helped clients buy and sell homes across the Atlanta area through his company, Zedd Realty. For him, residential real estate is more than a numbers-driven profession.

“Homes are like pieces of art we live in,” said Zedd. He believes it’s just as important to help his clients find homes that suit their personalities as it is to find ones that meet their practical needs. His years of experience and legal background have proven especially beneficial in this line of work.

Having graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor's in psychology and from the University of Michigan Law School with a J.D., Zedd is especially comfortable reading between the lines to uncover what clients really want. He also is adept at negotiation and making the process as stress-free as possible.

Zedd holds the record for the highest priced sale in the Durand Mill neighborhood and is in the top 10 percent of all realtors nationally in terms of production. Also, adept at home renovation projects, he has taught a course at Emory Continuing Education and written a book on the subject called The Essential Home Remodeling Guide.

Before downsizing his operation, Zedd spent 18 years in a nearby office just large enough to accommodate his team. Now he enjoys the free parking, a social environment and camaraderie at Decatur CoWorks. An avid CrossFit fan, Zedd also chose this location because it’s easy to slip away for a quick workout during lunch.

When he’s not working, Zedd enjoys music and spending time with his wife and three daughters. He plays guitar and piano and was even a member of a world-touring a capella group in college.
